Crossroads "Unplugged"

Light but No Heat (or as someone said yesterday it's Crossroads "Unplugged").  Due to the unseasonal snowstorm we had No electrical power yesterday (Sunday - October 30, 2011) but we met in the unlit, unheated space of Crossroads, and we had Power...God was there.  Early this morning (Monday, October 31, 2011) while it was still very dark we met for prayer with our flashlights in hand, in the unlit, unheated space of Crossroads, and God was there.

When you stop and think about it, followers of Jesus have met and continue to meet in some of the most unusual places (forests, catacombs, sewers, homes, tattoo parlors, etc...), for worship, fellowship and to be in the presence of Jesus Christ with each other.

It's easy to have heat without light, just check out any busy church where God is ignored.  His presence is what we must seek (individually & collectively)  for only in Him is there Light.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. John 1:3-5

The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
 John 1:9

If you read this in time, pray for us Today (Halloween 2011) as we bring and shine the Light in Union Center at our Halloween Outreach (3:00pm - 9:00pm if you can join us).  We will be twisting balloons, face painting and giving out tasty candy (over 50 gallons) and the Good News through timely Gospel tracts.  Of course Pastor Presto will be there with Gospel Magic.
