3. The Spirit
& Truth

4. The Spirit
Baptizes, He identifies us deeper and deeper into our union with the Lord Jesus:

will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry.
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Matthew 3:11

The INWARD
Filling/Work of the Spirit (Grk: pleroo, pleres)
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and
was led by the Spirit in the desert, where for forty days he was tempted by the
devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. Luke 4:1-2
Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them Acts 6:3
But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Acts 7:55

that includes: The Fruit of the Spirit, The Spirit Within, Purity, Maturity
& Becoming like Jesus (see Romans 8:29)
An OUTWARD Filling/Work of the Spirit (Grk: pimplemi)
When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her
womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed
is the child you will bear! Luke

His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: Luke 1:67
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:4
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! Acts 4:8
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4:31
Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord--Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit." Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. Acts 9:17-20
Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, "You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? Acts 13:9-10

Because of this
we move from a state of BEING (you must be born again) to a state of KNOWING
(what God has done and who we are in Christ) to a state of DOING (living out
our True Identity).
